Rewards of Reciting the Qur’an
The rewards of reciting the Qur’an are many. An authentic hadith in at-Tirmithee states:
“Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “Laam” is a letter and “Meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well.
Let me give you an example:
Surah Al-Ikhlas contains 66 letters so that’s 66×10= 660 good deeds.
Surah Al-Fatiha contains 150 letters so that’s 150×10= 1500 good deeds. If you read 5 minutes after every Prayer you could complete one juz. One juz is approximately 20 pages, that’s 120,000 good deeds.
So pass this message to every muslim you know to gain reward inshallah as the prophet peace be upon him said the one who guides to goodness is like the one who does it. Assalmu Alykom - creedoftheprophets.
